Welcome to Lugbook. These Terms are an agreement between you and Lugbook governing your use of the app. By creating an account or using the app, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use Lugbook.
You must be old enough to form a binding contract in your jurisdiction (and at least 13, or the minimum age in your region) to use Lugbook. By using the app, you confirm that you meet this requirement.
Lugbook is a tool for recording and organizing vehicle maintenance that you or others enter. It is a self-reported logbook, not a verified vehicle-history registry. We do not inspect vehicles, verify the accuracy of records, or guarantee that any maintenance was actually performed. Information in the app — including records received through a transfer — reflects what users entered and should not be relied upon as an independent or authoritative vehicle history.
Lugbook does not provide professional, mechanical, or safety advice. Recall and vehicle-specification information is provided by third-party government sources for convenience and may be incomplete or out of date. Always consult a qualified professional and official sources for decisions affecting safety or significant purchases.
You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for activity that occurs under your account. Notify us promptly at support@lugbook.app if you suspect unauthorized use. You may delete your account at any time from Settings.
You retain ownership of the vehicles, records, photos, and other content you add ("Your Content"). You grant Lugbook a limited license to store, process, and display Your Content solely to operate the app and provide its features to you (for example, generating a PDF or transferring a vehicle at your request). You are responsible for Your Content and confirm you have the right to upload it.
Lugbook lets you transfer a vehicle and its history to another user. When you do, you are choosing to share that information with the recipient, and they receive their own copy of the records. We are not a party to and are not responsible for any sale, transaction, or representation made between users. Transfer only records you have the right to share, and understand that transferred records are not verified by us.
You agree not to misuse the app, including by: uploading content that is unlawful or infringes others' rights; attempting to access other users' data; interfering with or disrupting the service; or using the app to deceive others (for example, falsifying maintenance records to misrepresent a vehicle). We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
Lugbook is free to download and includes a free tier. Some features may require a paid subscription ("Pro"). If and when paid plans are offered:
The app integrates with or links to third-party services (such as NHTSA data and YouTube links you add). We are not responsible for third-party content, services, or practices, which are governed by their own terms.
Lugbook is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that data will never be lost. You are responsible for keeping your own copies of important records.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Lugbook and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, arising out of or related to your use of the app. To the extent liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us, if any, in the twelve months before the claim.
You agree to indemnify and hold Lugbook harmless from claims arising out of Your Content, your use of the app, or your violation of these Terms or the rights of others.
You may stop using Lugbook and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or where necessary to protect the service or other users.
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will revise the "Last updated" date and, for material changes, provide notice in the app where appropriate. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be subject to the courts located there, except where applicable consumer-protection law provides otherwise.
